#TeamSISD gathered at Pebble Hills High School this morning to kick off the Career Awareness Showcase, providing 4th-8th grade students with the chance to explore district programs and discover exciting career opportunities.
The Trailblazer community was all smiles as they came together to support Americas High School during today’s homecoming parade. This year’s theme is “When You Wish Upon a Star.” The homecoming game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on September 5 at SAC I, where Americas will face Hanks High School.
The Falcon community came out in full force to support Eastlake High School during today’s homecoming parade. This year’s theme is “Eastlake World Tour.” The homecoming game is set for 6 p.m. on September 6 at SAC I, where Eastlake will take on Odessa Permian.

The Bulldog community showed tremendous support during today’s homecoming parade for Socorro High School. This year's theme is “Once Upon a Soco Hoco.” The homecoming game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on August 30 at SAC II, where Socorro will take on Horizon High School.
#TeamSISD students in grades 4th through 8th and their parents are invited to attend the Career Awareness Showcase from 8 a.m. to noon Sept. 7 at Pebble Hills High School. Principals, assistant principals, counselors, and teachers in #TeamSISD participated in a callout event today, encouraging former students to re-enroll and complete their education. This event kicks off the district's annual Walk for Success program, which helps inform students and parents about #TeamSISD opportunities and re-enrollment.
The Board of Trustees celebrated employees who reached key milestones this past school year. Their dedication has greatly contributed to student growth and the success of #TeamSISD. We deeply value their dedication and their commitment to being #ALLIN for our future success.
The Board of Trustees recognized the SISD 2017 Bond Accountability Committee for their diligent oversight of Bond 2017. Their efforts have helped expand and improve district facilities, creating a safer learning environment for students. Thank you for your service!
Trustees recognized Eastlake High School’s trumpet ensemble for their performance at the 2024 International Trumpet Guild Convention in Anaheim. After a rigorous audition, they showcased their talents to renowned trumpet players and participated in clinics. Great job!
The Board of Trustees honored Montwood High School’s Joaquin Porras for winning the Gold Medal Outstanding Performer Award at the 2024 UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest. Nearly 600 #TeamSISD students qualified for this year’s event in Austin. Well done!
Trustees honored four #TeamSISD students named to the All-State One-Act Play Honor Crew. In late May, they managed technical aspects behind the scenes at the UIL State One-Act Play competition in Austin. Congratulations to these outstanding students!
The Board of Trustees recognized #TeamSISD student Maximus Smith, a finalist in the 2024 Do The Write Thing National Essay Contest. In July, Maximus traveled to Washington D.C. to discuss bullying and violence prevention with lawmakers. Congratulations!

Big congratulations to Socorro ISD students, who are once again leading the way in the region with the #1 overall 2024 STAAR/EOC scores. Twenty fifth graders at Campestre Elementary School received free school supplies from the Healthy Zone in El Paso and books from Socorro AFT this morning. The Cobras were happily surprised with the new crayons, notebooks and books. A huge thank you to these generous donors for being #ALLIN for #TeamSISD students!
