The district joined the El Paso Locomotives for #TeamSISD Day! Earlier this month, Socorro ISD Police Sergeant Yvette Perez was honored for saving a child’s life. We thank her for her bravery and were proud to have her deliver the game ball to kick off today’s match! ⚽️
The El Dorado High School community embraced the spotlight for homecoming week with the theme “Hollywood Dreams: Celebrating the Movies That Made Us.” The Aztecs will face off against the Bel Air High School Highlanders in their homecoming game at 6:30 p.m. on September 27 at the SAC II.
It's homecoming week at Montwood High School, and the community is fully embracing the excitement! The Rams are celebrating with the theme "RAMS through the Decades." The homecoming game will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 27, at the SAC, where they'll take on the Eastlake High School Falcons.

#TeamSISD is hosting the Father-Son Conference today at Pebble Hills High School, a one-day event for 6th-12th grade male students and their fathers or male role models. The event features activities, learning sessions, and a keynote from Johnny Kage of 104.3 HITfm, covering topics like college, careers, self-defense, and social media safety.
Trustees recognized Sergeant Yvette Perez for her heroic actions in saving a child's life. While heading home, she saw a couple frantically waving for help with their choking toddler. She rushed over, used her training, and successfully dislodged the obstruction. Great job, Sergeant Perez!
The Board of Trustees honored Linda Miner, a Socorro ISD volunteer who earned the 2024 Heroes for Children award from the State Board of Education District 1. The prestigious award is given to individuals for their time and effort supporting public school students. Congratulations!
Congratulations to Hailey Garcia, a kindergartener at Horizon Heights Elementary, for leading the Pledge of Allegiance at today's board meeting! During the #WalkforSuccess2024 event, #TeamSISD employees visit neighborhoods in high school feeder areas to connect with students who haven't enrolled for the new school year. They meet with students and their families to discuss opportunities to return to school, earn a diploma, and pursue higher education and career goals.
This morning, #TeamSISD school and district administrators came together for the annual #WalkforSuccess2024 event, fully committed and ready to engage with students who have not yet returned for the 2024-25 school year. The event launched with uplifting remarks from district leaders, highlighting the significance of being #ALLIN to bring our students back home.
Several schools in #TeamSISD held events today to commemorate Patriot Day. At El Dorado High School, students and staff gathered for a beautiful remembrance ceremony, which included a wreath laying and concluded with the playing of Taps.
The Spartan community joined together to march in the Pebble Hills High School homecoming parade, with this year’s theme, “Celebrating America from Coast to Coast.” The homecoming game is set for 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 13, where the Spartans will face the Americas High School Trailblazers at SAC I.
In September, #TeamSISD is #ALLIN for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Join us in supporting local children and families by participating in the Royal Run for Hope and Gold Out El Paso 5K/1-mile walk on September 29. #TeamSISD honors the victims of the 9/11 attacks, their loved ones, and the heroes who emerged as shining beacons of courage and compassion. Their sacrifices, selflessness, and bravery should continue to inspire us and guide our interactions with one another and our communities.
Participants explored #TeamSISD programs like the Aztec Architecture, Libertas, and Health Professions Academies, with students and teachers #ALLIN showcasing their work. Business representatives were also present to discuss job requirements, training and career details.
