U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar presented a Congressional Record honoring the 100th Anniversary of Escontrias STEAM Academy. She commended the school for providing a century of service and support to the Socorro community, enriching the lives of countless #TeamSISD students.

The Socorro Independent School District will have student and teacher early release day on the last day of school, Thursday, May 30, 2024. The early release schedule is: PK3 AM & PM 10:55 a.m. PK4 & Kindergarten 11:45 a.m. Elementary & PK-8 schools 11:45 a.m. Middle schools 12:05 p.m. High schools 12:50 p.m.

A great evening for spring football! #TeamSISD proudly welcomed participants of the 2024 El Paso Football Officials Camp presented by the @EPSportsComm, along with the Tom Beard Football Officials Clinic and Zebra Sports, to their field work at a scrimmage at the SAC.

Five Socorro High School students in the Health Professions Academy (HPA) will sign letters of intent to pursue their nursing education with Texas Tech University Health Science Center (TTUHSC) Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing (GGHSON). These students are part of the first group to participate in SISD’s partnership with TTUHSC GGHSON pipeline program. Congratulations, Bulldogs!

Congratulations to Rosa Rodriguez, a counselor at Chester E. Jordan Elementary School , for being named Lonestar State Counselor of the Year! The Lions surprised Rodriguez with the excellent news this morning on the school’s blacktop. Thank you for your fantastic work supporting #TeamSISD students!

Dr. Sue A. Shook Elementary proudly celebrated its first dual-language, first-generation banquet to honor students for their achievements in the Dual Language Academy. The academy prepares #TeamSISD students to become bilingual and biliterate in both English and Spanish.
