High schools in the Socorro Independent School District are gearing up to celebrate the 2022 homecoming season with parades, football games and many more festivities. Take a look at the activities and games scheduled in the upcoming weeks.
Americas High School
The Americas High School Trailblazers will celebrate their 2022 Homecoming from Sept. 12 - 16 with the theme “A Journey Through Wonderland.”
Homecoming Dress Up Days:

- Tuesday: Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum - Twin Day
- Wednesday: A Very Wacky Tea Party - Alice in Wonderland Character Day
- Thursday: Show Your Loyalty to the Queen - Wear Red or Hearts
- Friday: We're All Mad Here - Spirit Day/Mums and Garters
The homecoming parade will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 14, with a carnival following the parade in the school’s courtyard. The homecoming pep rally will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 16. The Trailblazers will face off against the Franklin High School Cougars for their homecoming game at 4 p.m. Sept. 16 at the SAC. The homecoming dance will be from 8 pm. – 12 a.m. Sept. 17 in the school’s cafeteria. Eastlake High School
The Eastlake High School Falcons will celebrate their 2022 Homecoming from Sept. 6 - 9 with the theme “Back to the 90’s.”
Homecoming Dress Up Days:

- Wednesday: Skaters vs. Jocks
- Thursday: 90’s Fashion – Dress in your best 90s outfit
- Friday: Spirit and mum day
The homecoming parade will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 7, with a community pep rally following the parade at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s main field. The Falcons will face off against the El Dorado High School Aztecs for their homecoming game at 7 p.m. Sept. 9 at the SAC. The homecoming dance will be from 8:30 pm. – 12:30 a.m. Sept. 10 in the school’s outdoor patio. Tickets for the dance will be on sale for $35 at http://www.sisd.net/tickets or the Hometown Fan app.

El Dorado High School
The El Dorado High School Aztecs will celebrate their 2022 Homecoming Oct. 18 - 21 with the theme “Aztec Fright Nights.”

The homecoming parade will be at 6 p.m. Oct. 20, with the celebration of the “Birth of the Aztec Sun” following the parade in the school’s south parking lot between buildings M and N. The Aztecs will face off against the Socorro High School bulldogs for their homecoming game at 7 p.m. Oct. 21 at the SAC. The homecoming dance will be from 8 – 11 p.m. Oct. 22 in the school’s courtyard. Mission Early College High School
Mission Early College High School will celebrate it’s 2022 Homecoming Sept. 19 – 23 with the theme “MECHS Masquerade.”
Homecoming Dress up Days:
- Monday: Gym & Yoga
- Tuesday: Y2K 2000s
- Wednesday: Western Day
- Thursday: Spirit Day, with Pep Rally 3:45-4:50pm in Faculty Parking Lot
- Friday: Comfy Day
Their homecoming pep rally will be from 3:45 – 4:50 p.m. Sept. 22 in the school’s faculty parking lot. The homecoming dance will be from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. Sept. 23 at Crystal Palace Ballroom. Tickets for the dance will be on sale for $20 per person or two for $35 and can be purchased in portables 5 and 6 at the school.

The Montwood High Schools Rams will celebrate their 2022 Homecoming Sept. 26 – 30 with the theme “The Magic World of Montwood.”
Their homecoming parade will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 28, with a carnival following the parade in the school’s student parking lot. The homecoming pep rally Sept. 29. The Rams will face off against the Franklin High School Cougars for their homecoming game at 7 p.m. Sept. 29 at the SAC. The homecoming dance will be from 8 pm. – 12 a.m. Sept. 30 in the school’s courtyard. Tickets for the dance will be on starting at $25.
Nominate an outstanding graduate from Montwood High School to be named the 2022 Honored Alum. Deadline to apply is Sept. 13.

The homecoming dance will be from 8 – 11:30 p.m. Sept. 17 in the school’s new cafeteria. Tickets will be on sale for $25.
